PROTECT YOUR HEALTH FROM BLUE RAYS, WITH A REVOLUTIONARY NEW PRODUCT!
I’ve been working long hours on my computer lately (as usual, if I’m honest….) and my vision has been getting worse. I recently mentioned this to my girlfriend and she told me that a local chiropractor I used to see started a company that is working to prevent eye health problems caused by screen exposure.
After digging into the facts about how blue light affects eye health, my husband Tom called the company Healthe, to get information about what the company is doing to prevent this problem, -a problem that is quickly becoming very serious in our culture, according to eye doctors and sleep specialists.
As a result of the phone call, we had the opportunity to get a private meeting with Denny Loving, a partner in the company, who is working to launch the company’s products globally, -products that block UV and high-energy visible (HEV) blue light from digital devices.
How Blue Light Hurts Eye Health
Blue light is reported to cause acute retinal injury, aging of the retina, and macular degeneration because of the type of emission that it produces.
How Blue Light Disrupts Sleep and Circadian Rhythms
In case you were not aware, Smartphone screens and computer screens emit bright blue light so that you can see them even at the sunniest times of day. But if you use them at night, your brain gets confused by that light, thinking it’s the sun. This fools the brain into thinking it’s daytime and turns off the hormone (melatonin) that signals your body to sleep.
Because of this, smartphone light and computer light can disrupt your sleep cycle and disruption of circadian rhythm. It can reduce the amount and delay the timing of REM sleep, and reduce alertness the following morning.
Healthe, I’m happy to say, has developed a proprietary emission reducing film comprised of polymers and light absorptive dyes which normalize the light transmission across the light spectrum. By reducing peak light emissions, this makes artificial digital light more like natural light.
I now have a film attached to my computer screen and cell phone, and I can already tell that it’s softer on my eyes. If you and your family are digitally active (and most families these days are…) I highly recommend you investigate their products. The effect of blue light on eye health is a serious as the effect of EMF’s on your body overall.
